	*WHO WE ARE..*
	The Group came into being in February 2002. The Group is made up from a diverse band of people from all walks of life. Old, young, men, women, some strange, some even bordering on the weird but we all have one thing in common - we love to write to the best of our ability, and sometimes beyond. Anyone with similar inclinations is welcome to join us - just come along to the next meeting; you have nothing to lose save your £1 (per meeting) subscription.

	*WHAT WE STAND FOR*
	enjoy the company of other like-minded people interested in writing; are encouraged to write in a variety of genre; are able to express themselves and their writing openly within the Group; are at ease when reading their work to the Group; give [and receive] fair and honest criticism of each others’ written work; are willing to try new ideas, skills and techniques with a view to improving the quality of their writing; write on an agreed topic/subject each month; are encouraged to produce one or more pieces of quality work for inclusion in the Group’s annual anthology called ‘Writers’ Reign’; enjoy participating in a Group where it is not mandatory to get your work published; abide by the rules of the Group.
